File System Exploration

I'm sorry about not posting to this blog in quite while I've been busy poking around My 2.0 and 2.1 iPod touch's file system and here is something quite intriguing i found. SSH into your ipod touch or iphone and go to /Library/Application Support/Mail and in there is a plugin. What is the significance of this? well it means there is some sort of plugin support for mail. Tomorrow I"m going to see if the file download plugin works. And maybe the youtube plugin as well.

Iphone/IPod Touch Image Downloads

With the new 2.0 firmware you can now download images from mobile safari into you photo library just hold your finger on an image you want to save and tap save when it appears.

Mac Osx like linux distro

A good mac osx like linux distro is elive using the elightenment windowing system. check it out at http://www.elivecd.org/

the ipocolypse is finally over and itunes is back to normal wahoo!

It seems that with the Itunes 7.7 update for windows you can now sync your contacts with google!
not you calander just your contacts but it's a start.

The Sprint iPhone Killer

The new Samsung Instinct has been released and I plan to try it out and decide whether or not we have a real iphone killer on our hands. 

Update

Anticipation is building as the new iPhone 3G nears release. The new iPhone is 3G(obviously) but that presents a unbreakable wall for the community of iPhone unlockers because 3G is AT&T specific. You should still be able to jailbreak the new iPhone. This post will focus on the AppStore and then 2.0 firmware while the next post will focus on Apple's .Mac replacement MobileMe. Many social networking sites seem to be jumping on the Apple Band wagon(I can't remember their names so please don't ask). EBay's app wasn't really a surprise but if eBay made an app maybe skype will be soon to follow and we will finally have an official VOIP app for the iphone. It would be great if they could also get it to work with the ipod touch mics that people are selling but I personally think that is to much to hope for. Also the price for the 2.0 iPod Touch users has dropped form $19.95 to $9.95(In Us Dollars)

Welcome to the first of the (hopefully) annual Ipod Touch and IPhone news. We will plan to have many interesting tips and tricks for jailbreakers and non-jailbreakers alike. If you have any suggestions for articles just post them as comments. Just please don't be offended if I don't use you suggestion.
